What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Capital Markets – Loan Sales & Syndications position at MountainSeed Appraisal Management LLC?
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
MountainSeed is looking for a driven, transaction-oriented professional to help distribute commercial whole loans and participation sales across our national network of financial institutions. This is a mid-level opportunity ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience in capital markets, banking, brokerage, or real estate finance.
You’ll play a key role in generating engagement from prospective buyers and sellers of commercial loans, helping us execute both sides of the market. This role combines outbound sales activity, relationship-building, and hands-on exposure to a dynamic capital markets environment.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL GET TO:
- Work with the Director of Capital Markets to source, evaluate, and broker the sale of performing and non-performing commercial loan assets, including single loans, portfolios, and participations/syndications.
- Assist in the structuring, pricing, and placement of syndicated commercial loans (senior, mezzanine, and unitranche).
- Learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing trends, buyer appetite, and liquidity in the secondary loan market—both performing and distressed.
- Conduct outbound outreach to banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions to market live loan sale opportunities and source new business
- Schedule and set high-quality meetings with both buy-side and sell-side counterparties.
- Manage a pipeline of prospects using Salesforce, Outreach, and other tools to drive activity and accountability.
- Support the Director of Debt Capital Markets in active deal discussions and strategic outreach.
- Log all prospect interactions and regularly report on progress, engagement, and results.
- Develop deep subject matter knowledge of loan sale structures, credit profiles, and capital markets dynamics.
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- 3–5 years of experience in capital markets, banking, commercial real estate, or financial services.
- Strong communication and client management skills.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, loan documentation and syndication structures
- Background in commercial real estate finance
- A proactive, team-first mindset with a desire to grow in deal-making.
