What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Nursing Activities Aide and Van Driver position at Mountains Community Hospital?
SUMMARY
The Skilled Nursing Activity Aide under the direction of the SNF Activity Director assists with developing an activity plan prescribed by the resident’s physician and in compliance with State of California regulations. This can include providing mental, physical and emotional care to skilled nursing residents based on their individual needs. The Activity Aid will also act as the van driver, and escort residents to and from non emergency medical appointments and or activites.
QUALIFICATIONS

Active Driver's license and comfortable in driving a Ford Transit Van
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working towards completion of 36 hours of training in a course specifically designed for the position of SNF Activity Director.
Prefer an individual with experience in art, music or recreational therapy.
Experience in driving professionally
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current American Heart BLS CPR and AED certification required within 6 months of hire
