What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Plumbing Apprenticeship Substitute Instructor include, but are not limited to:

• Be willing to travel to the Payson and Lehi campuses as needed.
• Delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.
• Supporting student growth through mentoring, regular feedback, and individualized success planning.
• Ensuring your curriculum stays current and aligned with real industry expectations.
• Partnering with fellow instructors, administrators, and industry leaders to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
• Leading by example in professionalism, safety, and workplace readiness.
• Assess student progress through written, oral, practical, and performance-based evaluations.
• Create a student-centered atmosphere by maintaining an inspiring and well-organized classroom, while ensuring that the equipment is safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, performance, and accountability to support their academic success.

What We're Looking For:

• Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licensure: Must be a licensed journeyman plumber.
• Industry Expertise: A strong knowledge of current plumbing principles, methods, and techniques, combined with hands-on experience in the field, is required.
• Technology Skills: Familiarity with the trade's modern tools, software, and instructional technology.
• Teaching & Mentorship: Ability to guide, instruct, and inspire students, helping them develop technical skills and professional confidence.
• Commitment to Student Success: It is essential to have a passion for supporting students in reaching their full potential through education and hands-on training.
