Status: Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday; 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. One to two Saturdays a month

Pay/Salary: $50,099.00

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Cosmetology Instructor include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver hands-on, skills-based training that creates an engaging and dynamic learning environment, preparing students for real-world success.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans for both classroom instruction and practical lab activities.
• Supervise and mentor students on the practical floor, ensuring a supportive and professional learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress through written, oral, and hands-on performance evaluations.
• Foster a student-centered learning environment that promotes professionalism and prepares students for industry readiness.
• Inspect and maintain equipment daily, address safety concerns, and ensure proper maintenance.
• Accurately track and maintain student records, including attendance, performance, and progress reports.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to excellence. Successful candidates will have:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least three years of industry experience is required; prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Certifications: Graduation from an accredited Cosmetology School or apprenticeship and a valid Utah State Cosmetology Instructor's License.
• Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and organization to efficiently manage classroom and practical training responsibilities.
• Attention to Detail: A keen ability to assess student performance, ensure industry standards are met, and maintain accurate records.
