The Peer and Family Specialist/Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant at OneMH LLC plays a pivotal role

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate and lead recovery groups in a supportive and empathetic manner.
Provide one-on-one peer support to residents, fostering a sense of community.
Collaborate with counselors and staff to develop personalized recovery plans.
Share personal experiences of recovery to inspire and connect with residents.
Organize and coordinate wellness activities, workshops, and group outings.
Maintain a safe and inclusive environment conducive to recovery.
Offer guidance on relapse prevention strategies and coping mechanisms.
Foster a sense of accountability and responsibility within the community.
Required Qualifications:
Personal lived experience with successful recovery from substance use disorder.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in counseling or a related field is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
Understanding of the principles of peer support and the recovery process.
Empathy and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals in various stages of recovery.
Knowledge of local resources and support services for individuals with substance use disorder.
Willingness to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
Education:
Completion of Colorado Certified Peer and Family Specialist training program.
Completion of Colorado Certified Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant training program.
HIPAA Compliance Training
First Aid and CPR certification.
Continuing education in relevant topics such as mental health, addiction, and recovery.
Workshops or courses on group facilitation and dynamics.
Certifications:
Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant (QBHA) certification.
HIPAA Compliance certification.
CPR and First Aid certification.
