Receptionist (Bilingual Preferred)
Job Summary
Mountain West Sport & Spine is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and compassionate Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional experience from the moment they walk through our doors or call our office. We are looking for someone with an exceptional personality who genuinely enjoys helping others, remains positive under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced medical office. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, bilingual in English and Spanish, and committed to providing outstanding customer service while supporting our providers and staff.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Answer and manage a high-volume multi-line phone system while providing excellent phone etiquette. Schedule established patient appointments and maintain provider schedules. Verify insurance, update patient demographics, and ensure accurate electronic medical records. Assist patients with check-in, check-out, and general questions while maintaining confidentiality. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, referral sources, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals. Perform data entry, scanning, faxing, filing, and other administrative duties with accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office. Work closely with providers, medical assistants, billing staff, and fellow receptionists to ensure smooth daily operations. Be willing to assist other departments as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Previous receptionist, customer service, or medical office experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required. Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records is preferred. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, professional in appearance, and passionate about providing an outstanding patient experience.
