What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Middle School Science Teacher position at Mountain West Montessori Academy?
A public charter school in South Jordan, Utah, is now accepting applications for a Middle School Science Teacher for the upcoming school year.
The school will provide student-centered, individualized education, based on Montessori philosophy and research-based best practices. The educational program will focus on interdisciplinary connections and hands-on learning experiences.
In support of this mission, preference may be given to candidates who have previous Montessori teaching experience, hold Montessori certification, and/or are willing to undergo training to become Montessori certified. Experience working with an assistant teacher is also preferred.
Position requires a valid Utah teaching license in the area of Secondary Education with a Middle School Science, Science Core, Earth Science, and Biology endorsements, or the credentials and qualifications necessary to obtain elementary licensing upon hire. Candidates who are Montessori Certified are strongly encouraged to apply.
