Duties
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare, package, and label products for shipment, adhering to proper stocking and packaging procedures.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload goods efficiently within the cold storage environment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations to maintain precise inventory records.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments, manage shipping & receiving processes, and optimize warehouse distribution workflows.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards during order processing and shipment documentation.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms to document all inventory movements.
- Assist with order picking & packing activities to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking supplies properly and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to resolve issues related to order fulfillment or shipment discrepancies.
Experience
- Prior experience working in warehouse operations or cold storage environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (such as Warehouse Management System or ERP platforms like AS400) is essential.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order picking & packing procedures, and load & unload activities.
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations, data entry accuracy, and shipment documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills to address inquiries related to orders or shipments effectively.
- Experience with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
