Position Overview

We are seeking a resourceful and analytical RP Lead Technician (Crew Lead) who excels at independent problem-solving and operational leadership. This critical role spearheads daily field operations, executing technical installations while driving operational standards and safety on site across West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Reporting directly to the RP Construction Project Manager, the Lead Technician leads in-field operations, maintains strict job-site accountability, and ensures daily documentation is accurately recorded. Success in this position requires technical mastery, strong leadership, and precise written, logistical, and navigational communication.

Reporting Structure & Compensation

• Reports To: RP Construction Project Manager

• Compensation: Tiered progression path (Milestone-based)

Key Responsibilities

• Field Leadership & Crew Execution: Lead, mentor, and direct technicians on remote job sites, strictly adhering to firm operational expectations set by the CPM.

• Daily Reporting & Documentation: Serve as the primary daily field contact, generating clear, accurate daily progress updates, technical documentation, and safety reports for CPM review.

• Technical Installation & Custom Fabrication: Ascend towers and structures up to 70 ft to install, service, and repair low-voltage solar battery systems. Perform custom on-site fabrication and mounting bracket modifications using metalworking tools (drills, grinders, cutters).

• Field Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues on-site using critical thinking, technical schematics, and manuals.

• Fleet & Site Standards: Strictly enforce company safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and maintain clean, organized service vehicles in accordance with CPM "clean truck" policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2 years of lead technical experience in off-grid solar, low-voltage power, or tower structures.

• Strong navigational, logistical, and written communication skills.

• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to root-cause identification.

• Deep proficiency in interpreting and applying complex technical schematics, manuals, and installation standards.

• Basic IT knowledge and a strong aptitude for learning and utilizing new technologies.

• Mandatory: Valid OSHA certification card.

• Mandatory: Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT screening.

• Mandatory: Physical ability to work in various weather conditions, lift at least 50 lbs, and comfortably climb structures up to 70 ft.
