Job Summary

Under general supervision of a nurse or principal, assists in performing a variety of functions pertaining to student health appraisal; assists in the care of ill or injured students; administers routine first aid and emergency treatment in accordance with the law; and does other related work as required.

Two current letters of recommendation (preferably from a Supervisor dated within 12 months) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must pass District Proficiency Test All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Drug screening, fingerprint/background clearance, and a tuberculosis clearance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: Experience: Two years of paid experience performing a variety of general office, school or health services related work. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by coursework in health services, record management, and general office practices. CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENT Possession of a current First Aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross, including CPR training. Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
