Part-Time Custodian – Mountain View Montessori (Washington, UT)
Mountain View Montessori, a K-7 public charter school in Washington, Utah, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to join our team.
Position Summary
The custodian plays a key role in keeping our classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and families. This position reports to the school’s Director.
Hours & Schedule
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, afternoon/evening hours preferred).
- Some flexibility possible around special events or school breaks.
Primary Duties
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs.
- Assist with set-up/tear-down for school events.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Must pass a background check in compliance with Utah public-school regulations.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
