In this energetic position, you will operate and maintain snow removal equipment, to keep pathways, parking lots, and outdoor spaces accessible and safe during the winter season. Your expertise in outdoor work, equipment operation, and safety protocols will contribute to a smooth winter operation that keeps our facilities secure and welcoming.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Operate snow removal equipment such as loaders, with precision and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of all equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Clear parking lots, and other outdoor areas efficiently to prevent hazards.
- Apply de-icing materials like salt or sand using spreaders to enhance safety on icy surfaces.
- Perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping and snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance throughout the season.
- Follow established safety protocols during all operations to protect yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
- Previous heavy-equipment experience preferred
- Experience operating skid steers, loaders, tractors and snow pushers preferred
- Ability to safely operate around vehicles, buildings, curbs and other obstacles
- Commercial snow-removal experience preferred
- Comfortable working extended shifts
