Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: Supports the surgical team by preparing and cleaning the operating room suites. Transporting patients when necessary. Stocking supplies, setting up surgical equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment. Supporting the surgical team to provide efficiency and safety through the peri-operative process. Assists department management to manage equipment inventory and works to minimize equipment down time. Also assists perioperative care in the pre-op and post op environments.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program preferred. Current BLS certification and renewal as required.
Experience: Medical background and terminology preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Environment Maintenance to include keeping surgical services areas free from clutter
- Assisting in OR room turn over
- Maintain equipment storage areas
- Prepare equipment for surgical procedures. Clean equipment and return to appropriate storage locations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, work with biomedical program for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Assist nursing staff with patient throughput
- Stock OR spaces with appropriate supplies, linens, and paperwork
- Assist OR teams in maintaining sterile surgical fields
- Assist in patient positioning as needed
- Assist scrub and nursing personnel with other duties to assist with efficient and safe patient care throughout the peri-operative environments
- Assist in perioperative environments as needed/directed by department leadership
- Assist anesthesia as needed
