Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Surgical Technician Extern in the Operating Room you will deliver high quality, patient centered care as you assist staff during operative and invasive procedures. Our team supports each other like family and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
- You will work under the supervision of the Circulating RN and will assist the surgical staff in the perioperative process in the accordance with the Surgical Technologist Extern’s skills/training needs of the Department.
- You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized and safe patient care environment.
- You will be currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved school of surgical technology and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an approved Surgical Technologist program
