Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Medical Scribe to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: Provide service, functions as an effective team member with teamwork being the core approach. Enters Provider data, medication and lab orders accurately and efficiently. The Scribe communicates with Providers and support staff in the clinics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MA:
1. Uses computer applications
2. Greets patients
3. Updates and files patient medical records
4. Arranges for hospital admissions and laboratory services
5. Handles correspondence
6. Performs all administrative duties as assigned.
Scribe:
1. Facilitate timely and accurate flow of communication within the clinic/location.
2. Clarify unsigned orders and chart notes with the provider.
3. Order and "Associate" all orders and care plans in the chart note to complete an accurate picture of the visit.
4. Enter patient rooms with provider and document while care is being provided.
5. Make all spelling and correction errors throughout visit.
6. Review with provider immediately after the patient has left to verify accuracy. Make any corrections necessary at this time. Require the provider to sign off on the chart note to close out of the note and move to the next patient.
7. Keep scribe work areas clean and the equipment properly maintained.
8. Protect all patient data by locking computer screen when leaving your station.
9. Perform all other duties as assigned.
10. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.
11. Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly.
12. Attends annual review and department staff meetings, as scheduled.
13. Actively participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
14. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital, as well as the focus statement of the department.
15.Complete yearly and monthly MVH on line training, and participate in bonus structure requirements, along with continuing education.
16. Required to check emails and be responsible for its content daily.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Preferred but Not required.
Equipment/Technology: EMR and computer skills necessary
