Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early childhood years. Mountain View Daycare & Preschool is a faith based daycare & preschool. All teachers should /are expected to be comfortable with teaching a faith based curriculum and expressing/exhibiting Christ-like behaviors, attitudes and teachings in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development in toddlers
- Lead daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive behavior management and social skills development
- Collaborate closely with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual growth plan
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are upheld
- Maintain detailed records of children's developmental milestones, attendance, and health information
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, first aid procedures, and health guidelines at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers or infants
- Demonstrated classroom management skills in early childhood education environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for toddler care
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Certifications such as first aid and CPR are required; additional training in behavior management or special education is advantageous
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members through nurturing care-giving and effective communication
