Hello! Mountain View AFH is looking for a compassionate and responsible caregiver to join our wonderful team. We are located in a beautiful location outside of town surrounded by nature. Our large home is comfortable and feels like home. Our residents consists of 4 guys, all of which are thoughtful and compassionate humans. We are a behavioral home. However violence is not a behavior exhibited at our home. There is no unnecessary drama here, and your efforts will be appreciated.

The open shift starts at noon on Thursdays and ends at noon on Mondays, every other weekend.
You would sleep at the house in the staff bedroom which has its own bathroom.
8 hours every night are non paid hours. One shift equals 65 hours.
This is a great shift for the right person as it provides many hours within a short time and less driving to and from work.
I am ultimately needing 1 shift per month, so if that is all the hours you need, reach out to us. By working every other weekend, you would acquire 130 hours per month minimum and have 9 full days between shifts. It’s a shift geared for those who like adventure in their personal life, have split custody and don’t enjoy working while they have their kiddo, have another job, or just like having personal time.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). We provide a lot of cuing, assistance with cleaning residents room and laundry, and encouraging responsible independence. If you build a solid relationship with a particular resident, he may let you help him wash his hair or brush his teeth.
- Cooking meals. We have a menu and our residents will gladly help staff to stay consistent.
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules.
- Engage with residents.
- Write progress notes for each individual, with behavior tracking for one resident.
- Provide transportation by safely driving residents to preferred community outings in the house van.
- Keep a clean environment by cleaning as needed, including bathrooms, kitchen and dining area.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
- Ability to handle medication administration responsibly while maintaining records.
- Some computer skills
- Valid driving license
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
