Athletic Trainer or Certified Orthotic Fitter
Mountain Valley Orthopedics is seeking an Athletic Trainer tor a Certified Orthotic Fitter to work in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Department.
Job Summary:
Educate, measure and fit patients for custom/off-the-shelf braces for all extremities, AFO/MAFOs, crutches, walkers, etc. Educate and instruct patients on home exercise programs and gait training for ambulatory equipment. Work closely with the physicians, mid-level providers and clinical staff to dispense appropriate braces that are ordered.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Required: Bachelor's Degree
· Preferred: Current BOC Certification (ATC) with an active Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine License OR Orthotic Fitter Certification.
· Required: Current CPR and AED Certification
· Preferred: Master's Degree and/or OPE-Certification
· Professional and positive attitude.
· Ability to work as a team player.
· Excellent communication skills-need to effectively communicate with physicians, patients, and co-workers.
· Flexibility with last minute doctors schedule changes.
· Ability to lift more than 15 pounds.
· Travel between satellites locations, as scheduled.
