Mountain Valley Community School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Assistant Principal to join our leadership team serving students in grades 5–8. This position plays a key role in supporting a positive, consistent, and inclusive school culture grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, and shared accountability.
We are looking for a leader who is both steady and responsive—someone who can manage the daily complexities of a middle school while also helping strengthen systems, culture, and consistency across our building.
About the Role
The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principal to support students, staff, and families. This includes leadership in student behavior systems, staff support, family communication, and the consistent implementation of school-wide expectations and procedures.

- Support staff through collaboration, coaching, and problem-solving with a student-centered focus
- Contribute to a safe, structured, and positive school climate for all learners
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with BARR and PBIS frameworks
- Experience leading 504 meetings, attendance/truancy processes, and student support systems
- Experience supporting school safety procedures and crisis response
- Background in middle-level education and instructional leadership
