Overview:
Mountain Transit Authority is hiring bus operators in the Pocahontas County/Snowshoe area. This is through Mountain Transit Authority and not Snowshoe Resort.
Class C CDL with passenger endorsement is required for this position during the Snowshoe Season. Must be 21 years old to apply due to insurance regulations. Each applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Operate transit buses safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a comfortable and safe travel experience.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and passenger counts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate transit operations.
- Location: Pocahontas County/Snowshoe Area.
Overview
Mountain Transit Authority is currently hiring part-time Class C CDL Drivers with Passenger Endorsement for the Snowshoe Season (November to Approximately April).
- This Position Will Run: Sunday to Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM.
- Probationary Period: A 90-day probationary period is required
- License Requirements: Minimum of Class C CDL with Passenger Endorsement is required before being hired.
- Must be at least 21 years old (per insurance requirements).
- Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of a Class C CDL License with passenger endorsement
- Safe driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Physically able to assist passengers and perform job duties.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
