Job Title: Leasing Specialist II 

Job Type: Full Time 

Reports To: Property Manager

Location: Seasons at Southpoint and Towns of Traverse Mountain

Job Summary: 

The Leasing Specialist II position at Mountain States Properties works with potential renters to view and contract our various properties. This position requires an elevated level of communication and interaction with future and current residents of our properties. The Leasing Agent greatly impacts the success of our business and is vital to our team. We are a locally owned property management company overseeing multifamily communities across the region. Our on-site teams are supported by a central office and leadership group that value clear expectations, teamwork, and accountability. We believe strong communities start with supported employees and take pride in creating stable, well-maintained places for residents. We look for team members who take ownership of their work, support their coworkers, and contribute to a positive community for both residents and staff. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Respond to leads in a timely manner ensuring the highest level of customer service 

• Show rental units relaying property specifics to potential renters 

• Inspection of units for move ins and move outs 

• Generate leases to be reviewed and signed by renters 

• Make and direct appointments with leads for tours of properties 

• Ensure that all steps necessary are taken to close work orders 

• Complete all tasks assigned on time and in a professional manner 

• Help ensure that the office runs smoothly  

• Assist with responding to emergency calls when needed 

Skills:  

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 

• Experience in sales preferred 

• Proficient in MS word and excel with the ability to pick up new systems quickly 

• Understanding of leasing techniques and negotiation skills 

• Highly organized and detail oriented 

• Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently 

• Be able to adapt to new situations and be an active problem solver.  

Experience and Education: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent  

• 1-2 years leasing experience required, 2-3 years experience preferred 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time 

• Ensure good physical hygiene with a clean and professional image
