Job Description
Mountain State ABA is a locally-owned company that provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children, families, caregivers, educators, and other service providers. We are looking to hire and train engaging and highly motivated individuals to become behavior technicians to provide direct services to children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The position can be either part time or full time and we do not require employees to work on weekends.
The successful candidate will pass a local and federal criminal background check and demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, excellent playing skills, and a desire for new learning. Be sure to have an updated resume and references before applying.
Location
The employee will work out of the Mountain State ABA office in Martinsburg, WV and in the homes of clients in Berkeley County and Jefferson County.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Behavior Technician will:
- Implement skill acquisition ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) under the regular supervision of a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)
- Collect data based on observable behavior throughout sessions with clients
- Create material to be used in sessions
- Communicate session progress to caregivers and supervisors
Qualifications and skills
Required:
- An ability to demonstrate excellent playing skills with children
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years old with valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle
- Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm availability
- Ability to pass a state and federal criminal background check
Preferred:
- Work experience related to psychology, health care, human resources, teaching or education
