About the Role
Mountain Showcase is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Designer to join our dynamic, design-build team. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone with a strong aesthetic sense, technical precision, and a passion for crafting beautiful and functional living spaces. You’ll take the lead on custom cabinetry design from concept through construction, helping bring high-end residential construction projects to life.

What You’ll Do 

• Lead client design meetings to understand needs, preferences, and vision
• Create precise and buildable cabinetry designs using CAD software, as well as work with a team of drafters when needed
• Develop detailed 3D renderings, elevations, and construction documents
• Select materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories aligned with project goals and budget
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and trades to integrate cabinetry into larger projects
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in on-site reviews to ensure design integrity during construction
• Stay current with trends, products, and innovations in cabinetry and interior design

You’re a Fit If You Have 

• 5 years of experience in custom cabinetry design (high-end residential preferred)
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision or similar)
• Deep knowledge of cabinetry construction methods 
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong attention to detail 
• Ability to balance creativity with practical construction requirements
• Proficiency reading construction plan sets
• A portfolio showcasing your design and drafting work
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred 

• Experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Experience in new construction, full-home renovations and kitchen & bath remodeling
• Comfortable measuring field conditions
