General Description

This is a full-time, fast-paced position which requires working under strict deadlines. Performing a variety of tasks related to production of herbs. This position requires extended periods of standing at a fixed workstation while scooping dry material into consumer sized packaging, all with proper use of equipment and the safety protocols that are in place. This job requires the ability to work quickly, cleanly, and efficiently with a keen eye for quality and detail.

Set Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm

This position begins at $18.00/hour with benefits after 90 days.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be dependable consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, and respond to management feedback.
  • Be proactive continue to develop skills, gain additional knowledge, and solicit feedback for improved performance.
  • Follow MRH procedures and protocols; including policies set out for the department.
  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail and extremely accurate record keeping skills.
  • Responsible for filling individual containers with appropriate dry materials to fulfill the hundreds of orders received per day.
  • Prior to filling the containers, confirm that the finished good's product name, size, and lot number matches the product name, size, and lot number on the labels as well as the digital batch record.
  • Fill one product at a time using the appropriate scoop(s).
  • Clean, and close the zip lock bag by using the station mounted bag closer.
  • Weigh dry materials accurately with a digital scale according to the herb filling SOP.
  • Transport the finished goods to staging area for inventory to pick up and put away for storage. Assist with heat sealing boxing, and palletizing as needed.
  • Monitor quality and consistency of the product(s) and report any concerns immediately to the Dry Production Leads, Dry Production Supervisor, or the SPIM (Senior Production and Inventory Manager).
  • Clean and sanitize the filling stations, carts, and scoops daily with mister bottle and clean towels or use the dishwasher.
  • Ensure that the digital scale and tablet used are plugged in at the end of shift.
  • Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting up to 15 pounds continuously.
  • Bending at knees and at waist associated with retrieving these products.
  • Being on one's feet most of the day at a fixed station.
  • Associated twisting, bending, pulling as necessary to reach into bulk bins and products from shelves.
  • Close bags by hand or use the station mounted bag closer, zip locks and twist ties.
  • Scoop dry product with various sizes of metal scoops.
  • Close containers by hand with applied pressure, or twisting motion.
  • Reaching into raw material containers, bags, boxes, and barrels to retrieve material.
  • Pushing a loaded cart.
  • Exposure to herb dust and strong aromatics.
