Job Summary:
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for the accurate collection, validation, interpretation of data related to trauma patients who meet state of Colorado inclusion criteria. Ensures accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all trauma matters.
Assists in the performance improvement initiatives for Trauma Service.

Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum Experience Requirements
Healthcare experience or previous coding experience, preferred
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience in the use of information technology including Microsoft Office software, Excel and PowerPoint
Education required:
HS/GED required
CSTR preferred
AIS -Completion of the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course from the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Meidcine upon hire or within 12 of hire/transfer, required
Completion of the American Trauma Society's Registrar's Course or an equivalent course upon hire or within 12 months of hire/transfer, required
