What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tow Truck Driver/Operator position at Mountain Recovery?
We have Full and Part Time positions available. We cover Killington, Ludlow, Woodstock, Rutland and the surrounding areas ideal candidates will live in that general area. Newer well maintained trucks. Plenty of overtime/ commission calls in winter months.
This is not a CDL position.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving tow trucks, providing excellent customer service, and handling various vehicle types. Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Canidates should live in Rutland county or in close proximity. Hourly shifts with commission on call.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a tow truck to assist with vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or impounds
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck, ensuring secure transportation
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting drivers and passengers in distress
- Perform basic automotive repair tasks if needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tow truck and equipment
Requirements:
-Must be 25 years or older
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate a flatbed tow truck
- Proficient in conflict management to handle stressful situations calmly
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary
-Must be able to pass a background check
