Lab Technician – Full Time
Description:
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, team-oriented full-time lab technician to join our team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Perform quality control tests and calibrations on all lab equipment
· Run in-house CLIA waived tests including Flu A/B, Strep, Mono, RSV, Urinalysis, etc. Run in-house COLA tests including CBC, CMP, TSH, etc.
· Collect specimens and prepare for send- out laboratories
· Receive and result incoming lab reports from outside companies, including notifying patients of results
· Adhere to COLA guidelines in regard to policies and procedures
· Follow all company regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and accurate resulting
· Willingness to assist nursing staff or front office staff when needed, including answering telephone calls
Qualifications and Skills:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Minimum 3 years experience working in an accredited laboratory
· Active phlebotomist or lab technician certification
· Basic computer skills including word processing, typing, Microsoft Office and electronic health record system experience
· Must be able to work without direct supervision but also in a team environment
· Must be able to pass drug screen, background check, and authorized to work in the United States
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
