Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development activities
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children of various ages and abilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and emotional regulation
- Help with classroom setup, material preparation, and clean-up to maintain an inviting learning space
- Work closely with children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or behavioral challenges, providing tailored support as directed by the lead teacher
- Foster effective communication with children and parents to support ongoing development and address individual needs
- Participate in ongoing training related to Montessori methods, toddler care, or other specialized educational approaches
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
- Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively
- Certification or coursework in special education or early childhood education is advantageous
