Sonora Veterinary Group is a busy, well-respected small animal practice seeking motivated, compassionate, and adaptable individuals who genuinely enjoy working with animals. We take pride in creating a supportive, team-oriented environment where employees can learn, grow, and make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.

This is an active, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes satisfaction in both patient care and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital. While the work can be physically demanding at times, it is also deeply rewarding and an excellent entry point into the veterinary field.

We offer competitive pay, strong benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a team that values hard work, reliability, and a positive attitude.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kennel and hospital environment
  • Perform essential daily care tasks such as bathing animals, cleaning cages, and managing pet waste
  • Support overall hospital cleanliness through housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, floors, walls, windows, and general upkeep)
  • Help ensure a safe environment by maintaining secure entrances and exits
  • Follow safety protocols, including OSHA standards and proper use of cleaning materials
  • Learn and use basic medical terminology and common veterinary abbreviations
  • Maintain accurate patient and client records while respecting confidentiality
  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations involving pets or the facility
  • Work professionally and calmly in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment
  • Stay open to learning and contributing to a collaborative team culture
