Mountain Laurel seeks a Summer Program Director to create and oversee our Summer Program for children ages 3 and up. - Experience in program coordination or related field

- Proficiency with Google Workspace, registration systems, and general office technology
- Experience working in educational or camp settings preferred
- Understanding of or willingness to learn Waldorf educational philosophy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Responsibilities
Program Development & Leadership
- Develop and oversee Waldorf-inspired Summer Program
- Maintain and update Summer Program Handbook
- Schedule and conduct instructor orientation; hold daily staff debriefs
- Hire, manage and schedule instructors in collaboration with Business Director
- Order, maintain, and distribute supplies and snacks as needed
- Ensure program quality and alignment with Waldorf educational philosophy
Marketing, Outreach & Enrollment
- Work with Advancement Director to develop and execute comprehensive outreach and marketing plan to promote program enrollment
- Assist with assembly and distribution of printed materials
- Administer Jumbula registration system
- Provide enrollment reports and projections to Head Administrator and Business Director Administrative Operations & Family Communication
- Collect and file registration forms (immunizations, allergies, emergency contacts)
- Maintain participant rosters and records
- Collect daily attendance sheets and incident/accident reports
- Communicate with families regarding program details, policies, and student needs
- Collaborate with Business Director on budget planning and monitoring
Schedule
Immediately through June 14: Part-time, flexible schedule (approximately 10 hours per week)
June 15-August 14: Full-time, 9 weeks, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Accountability
The Summer Program Director is part of the Administration Team and reports to and receives support from the Head Administrator.
Compensation
$35 per hour
