Overview
Mountain Kids Pediatrics is seeking an outgoing, positive, and team oriented front desk staff employee. We would also prefer this new applicant have interest in training as one of our Medical Assistants to fill in for that role as needed. Our team at MKP is one that cares for one another, helps one another, and is always upbeat.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's calendar to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
- Assist with medical billing processes, including verifying insurance coverage
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Greet patients as they arrive and help them feel at home in our clinic
- Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to enhance patient experience.
- Handle medical collections as necessary, ensuring adherence to ethical practices.
- Uphold a welcoming environment for patients by providing exceptional service and support.
- Train with our nurses to become a substitute Medical Assistant as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
- Computer skills on a Mac is helpful
- Positive attitude and team player
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in office management practices and software applications related to healthcare operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
