Who You Are & Keys to Success

To be successful in this job, you will excel in four areas:

  • Inclusive leadership, management, and relationship-building: You approach leadership with a mindset of “power with” rather than “power over.” You make it a habit to include others in planning and decision-making. You hold your team accountable and can acknowledge growing edges (in self and others).
  • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented: You efficiently manage a high volume of work and create systems for keeping tasks from slipping through the cracks. You can juggle multiple projects, plan backward, anticipate obstacles, and find alternative paths when needed. You are dependable through your commitment to your schedule and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills: You speak clearly and professionally in person, on the phone, or via email. You communicate well with clients, staff, and community members. You are honest and genuine.
  • Commitment to racial equity and social justice: You recognize the role of gender, race, income, age, and other identities in shaping our client’s needs. You realize how your identities show up in the work, and welcome, reflect on, and act on feedback with an eye toward continuous learning about justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
