Job Overview

Weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Pay: Starting at $16/hour tips.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drink options, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate POS systems
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, beverage equipment, and customer seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm.
• Be a positive influence on the team, acknowledging that we all must take pride in our work in leading by example. Kindness is required!
• Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety standards.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; we provide training for motivated candidates eager to learn.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Square is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail setting.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours and ensure smooth operations.
