General Purpose
Under supervision of the Health Information Management Supervisor, the Health Information Specialist will support both Health Information Management and Clinical teams. This role involves processing specialty referrals, managing medical records, and assisting with electronic health record (EHR) documentation, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and MEHC standards.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience or equivalent work/education preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the EHR system and clinical templates preferred.
- Understanding of basic medical transcription guidelines and practices preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style
- Must live in Colorado or be willing to relocate.
Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour; DOQ
Bonus: $5,000 annual geographic pay incentive; paid out annually over 26 pay periods, if applicable
