Job Summary
The position of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Associate Teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibilities for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. This position reports to the Director of Early Childhood Education.
Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 12 college units of Early Child Development. Work experience of 50 days of 3 hours per day in a child care program environment within the last 2 years. Must possess, or be eligible to obtain, a Child Development “Associate Teacher” (or higher) Permit. Upon obtaining the CD Permit, employee must maintain the Permit. Must possess (or maintain immediately upon hiring) a food handler’s card. Possess and maintain a pediatric first aid certificate and CPR certificate
Other requirements: Vaccinations Required Immunizations TDAP MMR TB Flu shot or waiver Required certificate: AB1207 https://mandatedreporterca.com/training
