What are the responsibilities and job description for the Congregate Nutrition Site Manager position at MOUNTAIN EMPIRE OLDER CITIZENS INC?
JOB SUMMARY: The Congregate Nutrition Manager works closely with the Nutrition Services Program Director to coordinate and oversee the daily functions of the Congregate Nutrition Site. The Nutrition Manager coordinates all site activities in compliance with established policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arranges daily congregate hot meal delivery list for their site participants, as well as maintaining supplies to operate the site and serve meals, as required, to ensure optimum participant safety, operational efficiency and overall quality
- Ensures safe hot temperatures of potential hazardous foods and cold temperatures of milk products delivered from MEOC kitchen in accordance with MEOC policy
- Manages and schedules wellness services to include health education, fitness, social and recreational activities, special events, etc.
- Manages and schedules nutrition education sessions with the RDN and works with other MEOC departments to provide evidence based health training at the site
- Performs and maintains documentation of fire drills and fire extinguishers as required by policy, and maintains a safety plan and inclement weather policy at the site
- Works with MEOC transit to arrange and coordinate transportation to and from the site if transportation is needed, for shopping trips and outings, and any other special events
- Helps to ensure that all center activities are conducted in compliance with established program polices and standards, as well as adherence to MEOC policy
- Assist with the use and education of technology devices, online activities, and communication via video and messaging services
- Completes annual Quick Form renewals, completes Quick Forms for all new participants, and keeps up-to-date emergency contact information on all participants registered to the congregate program
- Attends all required training sessions, all required MEOC staff meetings and all required congregate events
- Performs other duties, as requested by the Nutrition Services Program Director and/or the MEOC Executive Director
- Maintains regular communication with site owners, Nutrition staff and congregate participants through phone and e-mail
- Completes and submits necessary monthly paperwork on time
