What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Dyeperson position at Mountain Dye Studio?
Mountain Dye Studio is a 35-year old company that creates and manufactures unique, high-quality tie-dyed apparel. We make the most colorful shirts in the world for retailers, bands, well-known companies, fashion houses and more.
We are looking to add a summer Dyeperson to join us! Our Tie Dye Craftspeople typically spend the morning preparing that day’s garments, and the afternoon dyeing those garments. Responsibilities include:
- Winding/preparation of garments
- Applying dye to garments
- Transferring dyed garments to curing racks
- Assisting with washing, folding, and/or shipping of garments, as needed.
We offer a friendly, informal environment where we treat everyone with respect. We're open Monday through Friday (no weekends). We can be flexible on your work hours/days, but prefer full-time, or 30 hours per week, starting as early as 6am and ending as late as 4:30pm.
Initially, a new Dyeperson will work closely with and be trained by senior Tie Dye Craftspeople, but must be proactive and interested in learning so they can ultimately manage their work independently. Each dye station is an independent work environment, but we all collaborate to ensure each day’s production is completed.
Pay starts at $17 per hour, with automatic increases tied to production benchmarks.
Key requirements include:
- Dependable
- Self-Directed
- Proactive and Results-Driven
- Team Player
- Basic Math Skills
- Ability to stand during the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Interested candidates should email or message us to express interest and set up an interview/meeting. Candidates are also welcome to call us at at 406.388.2602 with any questions or to schedule an interview.
