Now Hiring: Lead Kennel Attendant
Full-Time Position | Cashiers, NC
Mountain Dog Spa is looking for an experienced, motivated Lead Kennel Attendant to help lead our kennel team while providing exceptional care for the dogs in our facility.
We are a highly structured and innovative dog boarding, daycare, training, and bathing facility committed to the highest standards of animal care. This leadership position is ideal for someone with previous kennel experience who enjoys staying active, leading by example, and helping a team succeed.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and motivate the kennel attendant team throughout each shift
- Ensure kennel attendants stay on task and daily responsibilities are completed efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kennel environment
- Care for boarding and daycare dogs, including feeding, cleaning, exercise, and monitoring health and behavior
- Administer and accurately record medications (experience preferred)
- Assist with training new kennel attendants
- Communicate with management to ensure smooth daily operations
- Help maintain Mountain Dog Spa's high standards of cleanliness and animal care
Qualifications
- Previous kennel or professional animal care experience is required
- Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
- Positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Shift times vary between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM
- Individual shifts are typically 7–9 hours
- Flexibility is required
- Some weekends and holidays are required
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
