Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, grills, slicers, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
- Manage food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Process customer orders accurately using POS systems including cash handling and processing transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing guest inquiries with enthusiasm
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, organizing ingredients, and disposing of waste properly
- Assist with restocking supplies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring food safety compliance throughout the shift
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within quick service or fast food environments
- Familiarity POS for order entry and cash register operations
- Strong understanding of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced setting such as a café or restaurant environment
