What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Worker/Forklift/Telehand Operator position at Mountain Country Equipment?
Mountain Country Equipment is hiring a full time Yard Worker/Loader. We sell fencing materials such as livestock panels, continuous fence, drill pipe, steel, and other large products. Experience in operating forklift and telehandler as well as knowledge in the agricultural world is required.
Employee will assist with loading and unloading trucks/customers and perform other general tasks around the yard as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate telehandler and forklift
- Read and interpret receipts for loading customers
- Offload deliveries with an accurate quantity count
- Keep a tidy and neat yard and parking lot
- Keep trash cans on schedule
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating large equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on loading equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks
- Experience in agricultural world. Able to identify products based on length, size, and thickness to correctly load customers.
**Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00; No weekends. Pay Range $20-25/hr. Receive paid holidays after 3 months of employment, and paid vacation after 6 months of employment. Simple IRA opportunity after 6 months.
Please note that this job may require heavy lifting, use of mechanical equipment, and adherence to safety guidelines outlined by OSHA. This position will also be exposed to a variety of working conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
