Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient forklift operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics process by ensuring that products are accurately loaded and unloaded, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. Duties
- Load and unload products from trucks using appropriate equipment such as a forklift and telehandler.
- Accurately pick orders based on shipping requirements and ensure proper materials handling procedures are followed.
- Keep a tidy yard including but not limited to: spraying weeds, blowing off concrete lot, picking up trash, putting trash cans out, keeping products organized. Attention to detail is necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of loading equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Occasional measuring and cutting of pipe with bandsaw or similar tools.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly documented.
Requirements
- Previous loading and operating a forklift is required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Work well with our customers in a friendly and respectful way.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus.
