Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and systems in commercial and residential environments.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools and power tools to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work adheres to local electrical codes for safety and compliance.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical wiring practices in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of NFPA 70 compliance requirements for safe electrical work practices.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other essential electrical tools safely.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects or new installations preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
- Ability to follow detailed blueprints and schematics while adhering to all safety procedures related to electrical safety protocols.
