Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our growing pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician at MCHP, you will play an important role in supporting our pharmacists, helping patients access medications, and ensuring the pharmacy operates safely and effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Perform prescription data entry, insurance adjudication, medication counting, packaging, and labeling.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process point-of-sale transactions and provide excellent customer service throughout the patient experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone.
- Answer questions and assist patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
- Serve patients through the pharmacy drive-thru in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED. North Carolina Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or PTCB certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a community pharmacy, preferred. Experience with pharmacy software and point-of sale systems. Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification, preferred.
