About the Role:
As an Activities Aide, you'll play a vital role in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing activities on our units and on community outings. Responsibilities:
- Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives
- Create and maintain a calm and welcoming environment throughout the facility
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing activity programs
- Provide guidance and resources to staff on life enrichment and quality of life for residents
- Safely transport residents to and from appointments or external outings
- Assist in off-site outings for residents, providing transportation and coordination
- Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver's license required
- Adequate English oral and writing skills
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, creativity, and communication skills
- Ability to bend, reach, walk, sit, stand, and push/pull as the position requires
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
