Mountain Cement Company, a subsidiary of Eagle Materials is seeking a Cement Terminal Manager for a Colorado location. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a secondary distribution facility, generally limited to the unloading of railcars and loading of customer bulk trucks.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
Responsible for the safety of employees supervised. Supervise receiving and unloading of bulk cement rail cars. Supervise the loading of bulk cement trucks. Responsible for keeping costs in line with budgets and being alert for ways of reducing costs of operations, maintenance, and repairs. Keep equipment and machinery regularly maintained per set schedules. Produce daily inventory sheets and keep main office informed as to amounts of cement in silos and in rail cars, both in transit and in the terminal, and notify producing plant and sales office of impending shortages. Will be involved with railcar logistics. Establish and post weekly employee work schedules to optimize expedient railcar unloading and filling of silos. Responsible for managing hourly employees and approving their timesheets.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND REQUIREMENTS (not limited to):
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- The ability and experience to safely supervise subordinates.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- The ability to understand and troubleshoot the railcar unloading and the bulk truck loading systems.
- General computer skills and experience, especially with Microsoft Office Excel.
- Good general communication skills, including email.
- Meet any human resource requirements for the position, such as physical and background check.
