What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Liaison position at MOUNTAIN CARE PHARMACY?
Purpose: Mountain Care Pharmacy is a full-service and compounding pharmacy serving the Treasure Valley with personalized, high-touch care. We go beyond prescriptions — we build lasting relationships with patients, providers, and partners to deliver a better way to pharmacy. We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Community Liaison to help expand our footprint and fuel our growth. This role is perfect for a sales-minded professional who thrives in the field, builds instant rapport, and understands the value of consistent, strategic outreach. In this role, you'll be responsible for generating and nurturing referral sources through proactive outreach and presence in the community. You'll represent the Mountain Care brand at networking events, provider meetings, and key community gatherings. A major focus of this position will be identifying and building partnerships with healthcare providers, senior care facilities, wellness clinics, veterinarians, and other local organizations as well as organizations in other states we are licensed in. You’ll own your territory — prospecting, building pipelines, and driving growth. Travel is a core part of this position, including regular visits to prospective partners and attendance at off-site events.
Experience/Education:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Be at least 18 years of age.
· Background in sales, business development, healthcare outreach, or pharmaceutical rep experience
· Proven ability to build relationships and close on referral pipelines
· Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident in both 1:1 and group settings
· A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
· Comfortable with regular travel when it is needed
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Essential Functions:
· Maintain excellent communication with Director of Marketing and IT
· Prospect new referral sources and partnerships across the states we are licensed in
· Conduct regular in-person outreach and site visits to establish and strengthen relationships
· Represent Mountain Care Pharmacy at local events, health fairs, and industry mixers
· Serve as a subject matter expert on our services including, but not limited to, compounding, pet meds, medication management, and delivery
· Work closely with marketing to align on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation efforts
· Track your outreach activity, report on KPIs, and maintain a consistent follow-up cadence with all leads
· Identify opportunities for expansion or service enhancement based on community needs and partner feedback
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to drive/stand for up to 10 hours.
· Must be able to lift and push or pull up to 50lbs.
· Be able to drive to multiple stops and follow navigated routes, following all local and state laws while driving.
Other skills and abilities include:
· Have typing skills of at least 30 wpm.
· Pass a drug test.
· Maintain information confidentiality
· Offer flexibility in work hour scheduling.

Hours:
40 hours per week. In-house hours are typically Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, within this time you will be out engaging in the community or potentially traveling, scheduling can be flexible. It is important you come in to plan routes and outings and connect and communicate with the team when local.
