What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski & Snowboard Patroller position at MOUNTAIN CAPITAL PARTNERS?
Ski Patrol monitors the mountain, promoting a safe environment for guests and employees. Ski patrol provides first aid, rescue, and transport to those in need.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to medical emergencies on the mountain, transporting injured guests off of the mountain.
- Administer first aid, if necessary.
- Assess and mitigate hazards and safety concerns within the Resort ski area.
- Maintain Resort ski area signs, ropes, and padding.
- Educate guests on proper conduct and safety measures.
- Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
- Perform sweeps at the end of the day to ensure that all guests and employees are safely off the mountain.
- Special duties may include performing chair lift evacuations, search and rescue, and avalanche mitigation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current CPR required
- EMT, Outdoor Emergency Care, or Wilderness First Responder certification is required.
- Must demonstrate advanced to expert skiing or snowboarding ability to safely navigate any area of the mountain in all weather and snow conditions
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Must work well with a team and collaborate with others regularly.
