This is a part-time, as-needed position designed to provide flexibility for both staff and the venue. Shifts are scheduled according to event needs, performance, and availability, allowing team members the opportunity to work when needed while supporting the overall success of the Mountain America Center.

Housekeeping staff are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facility to ensure a professional and welcoming environment for all guests and employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform janitorial duties across the entire property, including but not limited to:

  • Floors, walls, windows, accent glass, doors, elevators oDrinking fountains, sinks, toilets, urinals, locker rooms
  • Trash cans, sanitary boxes, countertops, furniture, seats, stairs
  • Hockey glass, equipment, parking lots, sidewalks, and facility grounds

2. Ensure all areas are maintained in a safe, sanitary, and clean condition.

3. Retrieve and return radios, headsets, flashlights, badges, and keys at the beginning and end of each shift.

4. Maintain neat and organized supply and storage rooms. Restock janitorial carts and supplies at the end of each shift.

5. Keep radio, keys, on your person for the entirety of your shift.

6. Properly close out at the end of shift by:

  • Emptying mop buckets, receptacles, and machines oCleaning and storing equipment properly
  • Following timekeeping and sign-in/sign-out protocols

7. Exercise safe, responsible, and proper use of chemical agents, janitorial supplies, and equipment.

8. Promptly return supplies and equipment to the proper location after use.

9. Understand and comply with all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

10. Wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and promptly report missing equipment or safety concerns to management.

11. Interact professionally with customers and address concerns directly or escalate to appropriate staff.

12. Communicate with management regarding schedules, attendance, and shift changes.

13. Work cooperatively with other employees and departments.

14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Employment Expectations:

  • AsNeeded Basis: This position offers flexible hours based on event scheduling and performance. While hours may vary, team members will have the opportunity to pick up shifts as they become available.
  • Probation Period: 60 days.
  • Raises & Growth: Raises are reviewed annually (JanuaryJanuary) and are based on both individual performance and the overall success of the venue. This process ensures that recognition and growth opportunities are tied to the contributions of each team member.
  • Attendance & Timekeeping: o Clock in/out inside the building.
  • Sign in/out on shift sheet, document keys and accurate time. oShow up on time unless prior communication is made with management.
  • Dress Code: o Long pants/jeans without holes or tears.
  • Provided work shirt (specific to your role that day). oNametag and/or event credentials.
  • No hats unless approved (Mountain America logo only).
  • Conduct: o Use employee entrance/exit only at start and end of shift.
  • Park in designated employee parking areas.
  • Physical Requirements: o Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods. oPerform repetitive motions (kneeling, bending).
  • Work outdoors as needed.
