The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Mount Zion Leadership Team and plays an essential role in overseeing nursing operations, supporting staff development, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving quality outcomes throughout the facility.

Your Role
As the Director of Nursing, you will:
Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team in delivering exceptional resident care
Foster a collaborative, resident-centered environment focused on quality outcomes
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
Oversee nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance
Train and onboard nursing staff while implementing policies and procedures
Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
Support quality assurance initiatives, risk management programs, and continuous improvement efforts
Participate in facility strategic planning and leadership initiatives
Conduct daily rounds and maintain a strong presence within the facility
Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and compassion
Qualifications
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Previous nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and nursing best practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Passionate about resident care and team development
