What are the responsibilities and job description for the DISHWASHER position at Mount View Assisted Living?

Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 16 years of age is required; High school diploma preferred, but not required.

2. Ability to work well at routine tasks and perform assigned tasks to meet high standards of cleanliness required.

3. High degree of personal cleanliness and good hygiene necessary; health status suitable for work in food services required.

4. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required.

5. Physical stamina for constant activity required.

Work Area and Conditions: Works in dish room area. Subject to humid, warm conditions and hands in water; handling of sharp objects; standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving heavy objects throughout workday.

Job Summary: Carries out dish room activities of clearing, soaking, scraping, washing, air drying, and putting away of china and utensils used in serving and preparation of food; completes other assigned duties in kitchen areas.

Job Duties:
Soak, scrape, wash, rinse, drain, and put away all pots, pans, dishes and utensils in dish machine, or empty dish machine and put away dishes after being air-dried.
Clean dish machine, sinks, and counters; remove all garbage from the work area and the entire kitchen.
Wash pots, pans and utensils are needed immediately during the food preparation stages.
Keep work area equipment clean and in good condition.
Dispose garbage properly in the receptacle located outside of building.
Mop floors in kitchen after each meal.
Replenish soap for sinks and detergent for dish machine as needed.
Attend departmental meetings and required or preferred in-service training.
Generate and develop ideas which improve the quality of care for residents or increase job productivity and satisfaction.
Perform all job duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this organization.
Exhibit the highest level of customer service towards staff, residents and visitors.
Perform other work duties as assigned by Dining Services Manager. Shift Available: 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Part Time Must be Available to work every other weekend and Holidays
